A2 Hosting is currently looking for an experienced Security Engineer to join our team! The Security Engineer is responsible for monitoring, maintaining, and enhancing the established security measures that are in place to protect the systems and networks from unauthorized activity.

What you'll do:

  • Implement and maintain security solutions to detect breaches and intrusions on systems and networks
  • Monitor detection systems for indications of unusual activity or compromise
  • Review and analyze logs, investigate events to identify incidents and provide response
  • Perform forensic investigations to determine incident impact and remediation methods
  • Assist with risk analysis, collaborate on mitigation methods, and implement risk management solutions
  • Perform vulnerability assessments, prioritize report results, and recommend methods to remediate risks and vulnerabilities
  • Implement and maintain security solutions to detect breaches and intrusions on systems and networks
  • Assist with maintaining system/software inventory, patching, and reported vulnerabilities
  • Install and maintain software that monitors systems and networks for security breaches
  • Perform related duties as assigned, within scope of practice, to ensure individual, team, and organizational success.

What you should have to be successful:

  • 2+ years experience in a security-focused engineering role, ideally
  • Experience in a web hosting or similar technology company, ideally
  • Firm understanding of fundamental security concepts, protocols, and principles, including forensic investigation processes and methodology
  • Strong working knowledge of Linux structure and operation
  • Familiarity with common security controls, security libraries, and common security flaws
  • Understanding of EDR/XDR systems, event investigation, and incident response process 
  • Knowledge of security systems including anti-malware applications, content filtering, firewalls, authentication systems, and intrusion detection and notification systems
  • Understanding of network security and network monitoring solutions
  • Familiarity with common attack vectors, passive and active attack vector exploits
  • Experience with vulnerability management processes and tools, including verifying weaknesses in system design preferred

Here at A2 Hosting, the Migration Specialist is responsible for providing exceptional customer-service to current customers throughout the migration process. The Migration Specialist will resolve technical and general service requests and execute migrations while providing an exceptional customer service experience.

Working alongside a team of passionate professionals and leaders, the Migration Specialist will be an integral part in ensuring that A2 Hosting is a leader in customer- focused web hosting services.

**We are currently in need of candidates who can work a Tuesday - Saturday 8:00am - 4:00pm ET shift**

What you'll do:

  • Provide outstanding customer service to customers throughout the migration lifecycle; including obtaining relevant pre-migration information, executing the migration, and following up with the customer post-migration
  • Reviewing and processing incoming and/or flagged migration requests in accordance with company procedures and service level agreements
  • Escalating and discussing complex inquiries to team lead as necessary to ensure positive outcomes for customers
  • Meeting and maintaining agreed upon productivity goals during each shift
  • Assisting with troubleshooting for members of the support team as necessary (we love team players!)
  • Assisting with system and network project implementations

What you'll do

  • Provide leadership and guidance to the Support Team, including Team Leads, Support Generalists, and Support Specialists
  • Coach and motivate team members to deliver high-quality support services
  • Evaluate workloads, set performance targets, conduct evaluations, and foster a positive and collaborative team environment
  • Collaborate with the Human Resources team to recruit, interview, and hire support staff
  • Support Team Leads in their day-to-day activities, including workload management and performance coaching
  • Provide assistance with complex customer cases and ensure consistent and high-quality support delivery
  • Monitor and manage support queues to ensure timely resolution of customer issues
  • Collaborate with Team Leads to ensure appropriate coverage of contact channels

A2 Hosting is currently looking for a Migrations Team Lead to join our team! The Migrations Team Lead is a leader of the Support Department and is responsible for multiple leadership responsibilities including interviewing and training, team member performance and development, and shift management. In addition to the supervisory responsibilities, the Migrations Team Lead is a highly skilled team member themselves and is responsible for handling complex customer migrations cases that are escalated.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead high-performing migrations teams for both internal and external projects; includes monitoring migration queue, removing roadblocks, managing staffing levels, and motivating team members
  • Track and manage the productivity and performance results of migrations team members
  • Ensure team members are adhering to company policies and procedures, including support standards, migration workflow, and escalation procedures
  • Participate in Slack Migrations channel by providing guidance and advice as well as taking ownership of requests and ticket escalations
  • Collaborate with HR and other members of Support Leadership to interview, onboard, and train new team members
  • Complete and deliver performance reviews for team members, including 90 day and annual reviews
  • Plan, develop, and execute trainings for migrations team
  • Provide a continuous feedback loop to the Support leadership team regarding team performance, training, and other improvement opportunities
  • Assist with migration queue as necessary to ensure timely customer responses

Required Skills:

  • 2+ years of professional-level Linux administration experience required

A2 Hosting is currently looking for an experienced Network Engineer to join the rest of the Networking, Infrastructure, and Systems Teams to continually improve upon our existing infrastructure and to keep us at peak performance and reliability. This position will also diagnose and fix complex hardware, software, and network issues as well as take point on both implementation and R&D projects. As we are customer focused, this position will regularly be called on to investigate operational issues identified by our Support teams and provide short-term solutions balanced against long-term needs.

This role is open for applicants that can work within any of the four US time zones. This position is 100% remote and you can work anywhere in the world.

What you’ll do:

  • Collaborate with a great team of helpful and like-minded people designing and implementing network architecture to improve existing infrastructure or build out new locations from the ground up.
  • Learn new things and help determine the business value for new technologies and products.
  • Maintain and improve service quality and reliability across our complex set of services.
  • Share your knowledge and experience with team members across the organization to increase the strength and collaboration of our teams.
  • Troubleshoot production issues and coordinate with the Infrastructure, Systems, and Support teams.

  • Document configuration standards, troubleshooting steps, and platform designs.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation

 
Skills & Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of Linux system-level network administration and troubleshooting
  • Considerable professional experience in the design and implementation of datacenter networks, local and wide area, including everything from network hardware selection, to setting up multiple locations, designing Layer 1, 2 and 3 architectures, BGP and VPNs.
  • Extensive experience with Cisco IOS/NXOS administration and implementation strongly preferred
  • Experience in a webhosting or similar organization strongly preferred
  • Comfort with the planning, design, and implementation of large-scale internal applications, such as automated provisioning systems, datacenter/inventory management, or some kind of web frontend to abstract network configuration
  • Knowledge of the value in clear procedural and reference documentation and the ability to produce it
  • Familiarity with configuration management systems, such as Ansible or Salt, a plus
  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
